This month’s edition of Null Hypothesis has arrived. I’m now downloading a program they’ve listed. LeoCAD is a serious design application and certainly not an excuse to play with a load of toy bricks. What I’d really like is a simple technical drawing package. I may have to dust off my t-square and draw by hand.

Lots of Valentine’s hints this month too. If you want a decent present then it helps to be female and engender a large degree of obligation in your partner. As for what present to buy, careful research by people with lab coats and clip boards reveals that flowers (delivered) are considered better than an ironing board. Even if the ironing board has a nice floral pattern.

Finally, if out on a first date then the feeling of fear can be mistaken for love. Now my love life makes so much more sense.
