…and back

The new host didn’t have the email facilities I was looking for, which is a shame. More so since I found that out after moving. I’ve cancelled the account and I’m now back on the old server, so everything now works as before, but I still have this bandwidth problem.

I do have an idea for a solution though. It should be possible to export this blog to archaeoastronomy.wordpress.com. Then I delete this version of the blog, creating lots of 404 errors. I can then write a re-direct script that replaces 404 errors which start http://archaeoastronomy.co.uk/200x with http://archaeoastronomy.wordpress.com/200x, so links don’t break and I don’t have to pay for bandwidth. With the lack of stuff on this server I can then downgrade, saving money and staying with a host that, bandwidth charges aside, is really helpful and friendly.
