Aren’t Free Evolution CDs Wonderful?

I got my Rules of Life CD through the post today which accompanies the Radio 4 series. If you want to get a free copy then visit the Open University’s website and scroll down to the ‘Order your free CD’ link on the right. There’s not even a postage and packing fee. As far as I know the only restriction is you have to be in the UK or Ireland.

I think that the Open University is one of the huge success stories of Higher Education in the UK. It’s a hard way to get a degree, but it is hugely accessible. I expect once I’ve finished my PhD and can afford it then I’ll be dabbling with OU courses simply for the sheer joy of being able to learn something new. There’s an incredible range of courses, many quite short at entry-level to browse.

…and if that’s not enough, the free CD promoting this is 48 minutes long, so it’s a decent length.
