Britney gets desperate

Long-time readers will know there’s a rivalry between myself and the princess of pop. Recent weeks have seen it escalate.

Britney has recently started making public her thoughts on the Sophocles play Antigone, as seen below.

You can buy the original at Christie’s. I’ll accept my response was less than gracious, but it seems she’s getting increasingly desperate to better me. Unfortunately, as WordPress can verify, it’s not working.

In recent weeks she’s left her husband, revealed her interest in Classics and risked catching a chill for my attention. I can only assume someone has sent her a tape of the time I sung Lucky at Karaoke. All I can say is that while I’m sure you’re sweet Britney, it’s never going to happen between us. Next time we meet I think one of us will have to accept they’ve lost touch with reality.
