Constitution Day Sneak Peek: Picking the President Revised and Expanded Edition

In 2016 The Digital Press at the University of North Dakota published a slim volume edited by Eric Burin titled, Picking the President: Understanding the Electoral College. We put the book together in about six weeks in the immediate aftermath of the 2016 Presidential Elections and to our surprise, it became a best seller for the press.

Despite this success, I had been nudging Prof. Burin to consider revising it first for the 2020 and then for the 2024 elections. He finally took me up on the deal and started to put together a revised and expanded edition of the book which should appear around Election Day.

This week, to celebrate Constitution Day, we thought we should offer a sneak preview of the revised and expanded edition of Picking the President. The new book will feature an expanded introduction, over a dozen new contributions, and nearly three dozen new primary source documents.
