Distractions

They’ve been around for a couple of weeks, but the sun today brought them out in large numbers, over twenty, which is the most I’ve seen during the day. There’s also at least two newts, but I haven’t been able to photograph them. With the frogs leaping about it’s unlikely I will for a while.

I have a question for anyone who knows more about this than I do, which is almost everyone. Does anyone know what this white-ish patch of spawn is? Or is this something that I don’t want to know about?
