Email, spam and tweaks
If you’ve tried to email me recently then there’s a possibility I haven’t received it at my home account. It could be that simply no-one has emailled me, but I tend to get about 40 spam for each genuine email and I’ve had no spam either.
Another spam related problem is that someone is using random-string@archaeoastronomy.co… etc to in the reply-to line of spam emails. There is nothing I can do about this. If you check the headers you’ll see it wasn’t sent from this domain but auto-replies don’t do this, so I get all the error messages, auto-acknowledgements and spam-block emails too. The increasing volume of these might be the thing that’s killed my home email box.
On the other side it’s been a busy month, and this is set to continue. There’s a lot of stuff which I read which I’m simply not getting time to blog about so I’ve decided to try and get to grips with del.icio.us, which is powering the Vidi block on the right. If I have it set up correctly it will also post a blog entry each day that I add links. It’s an experiment. It should be posting around 9am each morning.
