Friday Music: Saint Etienne Daho – Jungle Pulse

Saint Etienne and Étienne Daho combined to produce an underrated EP Résérection. It had two singles from it Accident/He’s on the Phone in English, a re-working of Étienne Daho’s Week-end À Rome and Jungle Pulse above, a reworking of Filthy by Saint Etienne. My translation would be very poor. It’s too fast for me in many places. It doesn’t help that I get Je pulse as I throb which doesn’t seem sophisticated enough.

Le Premier Jour by Étienne Daho also has a big Saint Etienne influence. It’s a French version of Ready or Not from Sarah Cracknell’s Lipslide album. The opening to the video is a bit odd.
