There’s a saying it North Dakotaland: It’s a dry cold. Usually I just ignore such platitudes until we have a few days when the cold in damp and it gets into your bones, home, coats, and even shoes. Then I realize that I’d gladly trade the brutal dry cold of midwinter for the damp cold of early December.
Fortunately, I have no where urgent to go these days and I will do my best to stay in my chair, by the fire with my books, games, and sports. This weekend is the final F1 race of the year and it will decide the title. The Buckeyes have their hands full with the Indiana Hoosiers in the Big10 championship game Saturday night. The 76ers get the scuffling Milwaukee Bucks on the back-end of a back-to-back tonight and the Eagles play on Monday night. Finally, the second test of the Ashes and from the first two day (yes! It’s gone beyond two days!), it looks like it might be a doozy.
One more thing, if you missed it earlier this week, The Digital Press at the University of North Dakota has published its annual one-click year end download featuring 10 books published over the last 24 months (or so!). Check it out here.
