Friday Varia and Quick Hits

It’s supposed to be a glorious late summer weekend here in North Dakotaland with warm temperatures and sunny skies. For the last 20 years, I’ve mostly taught Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday, but this year, I have a class that meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as well so I can take advantage of the Labor Day holiday.

The fine weather will make it a bit hard to stay indoors and watch Ohio State play Texas or any other of the top flight college football tilts this weekend including Richmond playing Lehigh, the school that knocked the Spiders out of the FCS football tournament last year. I also have a long family history with Lehigh. I’m also excited that the F1 guys are back in action at the fun to pronounce Zandvoort circuit and will make a point to watch the NASCAR circus at Darlington on Sunday night.
