Friday Varia and Quick Hits
More snow here in North Dakotaland, but the good news is that it feels like -45, so there’s nothing much motivating me to go outside. Instead I’m hunkered down by the fire with coffee, a couple of dogs, a warm blanket, and a vacuum tube amplifier.
That being said, I won’t be tempted to go outside or even leave my chair. Things might get done today.
And things are happening. Check out the cover for volume 85 of North Dakota Quarterly featuring a photo by UND History student Wyatt Atchley. I’m excited to see it in the flesh.

In the meantime, check out some quick hits and varia:
Mystery Woman in an Early Christian Cemetery (hint: she’s an archaeologist).
Some stuff on audio:
Ways of Hearing (the podcasts are great, by the way).
What I’m reading: Nanna Bonde Thylstrup, The Politics of Mass Digitization. (2018).
What I’m listening to: Oliver Nelson, Blues and the Abstract Truth.
