Friday Varia and Quick Hits

After a few days that felt oddly springlike with temperatures in the mid-30s and warm sun, we got socked with a winter storm that dropped some amount of wet heavy snow on us. The upshot is that town looks nice and fresh — rather than a sloshy mess —  but it also makes taking The Bargepole ™ of a walk a bit less pleasant.

I’m excited for the boxing this weekend with two very solid fight cards on Saturday. Ryan Garcia takes on Mario Barrios in the evening and Josh Warrington vs. Lee Wood in the afternoon. The Cup guys will be in Atlanta for the second super speedway tilt in a row and the Sixers having lost to the Atlanta Hawks (who have no reason to tank) will try to beat the genuinely tanking Pelicans on Saturday evening. It remains unclear whether the Sixers are actually tanking.

I will probably try to take some time off this weekend to recharge my flagging batteries for the final push of the semester. And, yes, I might be reading too much F1 testing coverage.
