Friday Varia and Quick Hits

It’s finally the Friday before spring break and I’m pretty excited to take the week off from teaching to catch up on… well, teaching (as well as some writing and maybe even reading!). According to the weather forecast, it sounds like I’ll have ample opportunity to hunker down inside over the next few days and get some work done by the fire.

I’m moderately interested in college basketball, so this will be an entertaining sports weekend even if I don’t have commitments to any particular team. It almost feels like the rest of the sporting world presses pause this weekend to let the college teams have their moment. That said, the Cup guys are in Phoenix, the final India-Australia test looks to be Australia’s best performance so far in the series. And if I had Showtime, I would watch the Tim Tszyu-Tony Harrison match from Sydney (and apparently this Diego Pacheco kid who is fighting in Liverpool on Saturday night is a legitimate prospect).
