Friday Varia and Quick Hits

It’s the Friday before classes start and the first Friday of 2023, so it feels like as good a time as any to get back to producing some quick hits and varia more consistently.

This weekend is a relatively slow one in my little sports world. The Eagles are in the playoffs and have a decent chance at home field advantage. The Sixers are playing reasonably well during the slog-section of the regular season. It’ll be interesting to see what Australia does tonight in their final home test of the summer against South Africa. I’ll pass on the epic boxing card tomorrow.

It’s probably for the best in that I have a good bit of unfinished ready to wrap up this weekend, some unfinished class preparation as well, and probably one or two more social outings before the semester is upon us.
