Friday Varia and Quick Hits
It’s going to take everything the sun has this afternoon to reach 60 degrees as the trees are changing and the nights are getting cooler here in North Dakotaland. I’m starting to think that my days ambling about the countryside on my push-bike are getting numbered and the trusty treadmill will have to come back into service soon enough.
It seems like the cooler temperatures are also going to bring some rain this weekend, but fortunately there are plenty of things to keep me occupied. Saturday night is a particular bonanza with the Cup guys at Bristol, the Ohio State team playing Toledo, the Phillies playing the Braves, and the GGG-Alvarez fight all happening more or less at the same time. The Eagles play on Monday night. And this should leave me plenty of time to mess about with Isthmia data and make some progress on a couple of editing and publishing projects.
It should also give me a chance to pull together a more robust list of quick hits and varia, but for now, these will have to suffice:
When Will Museums Tell the Whole Truth About Their Antiquities?
What I’m reading: Georgina Colby, Kaja Marczewska, and Leigh Wilson eds., The Contemporary Small Press: Making Publishing Visible. 2020.
What I’m listening to: No idea!!
