Friday Varia and Quick Hits
It’s cold, we had snow last night, and it feels like winter here in North Dakotaland. In fact, on days like today when the semester is over, it is easy to get up feed the dogs and then sleep for another couple of hours. Not only is it easy, but it feels like the right thing to do.
This will be a slow weekend sports wise with mostly NBA and college basketball games. I will likely try to watch some boxing on Saturday night when Diego Pacheco takes on someone called Kevin Lele Sadjo. Tonight, I’ll watch the Sixers.
Most of the weekend will be spent grading, doing some book production, and reading.
Because the end of the semester is so hectic, I can only offer a small gaggle of quick hits and varia:
What I am reading: Tom Lutz, Cosmopolitan Vistas: American Regionalism and Literary Value. Cornell 2004.
What I am listening to: Oliver Nelson, The Blues and the Abstract Truth.
