How Not to Use PowerPoint

I’ll admit I’ve been guilty of a few of these and the remainder I’ve seen at conferences. The problem is when you get your hands on the new animations in the latest version of PowerPoint there’s an urge to use them. It’s part of the justification for paying the upgrade fee.

I think it was Kai that had a control system that wouldn’t allow you to use more advanced options until you’d shown that you were able to the basics. Something similar might be useful for PowerPoint. Some sort of secret initiation where you gain the ability to use the utterly pointless effects like the random transition function.

Obviously anyone who committed the crime of using random transitions to prove their status would immediately be stripped of their status and PowerPoint Wizard robes.
