…which makes a change from affordably inexpensive.

About four years ago I went to Peru to look at some tombs to see if they’d be suitable for a PhD project. There’s some fascinating stuff in the Santa Valley which may reveal changing beliefs after the arrival of the Incas. Unfortunately I picked up Hepatitis. After a while I wasn’t getting any better. It turned out the Hepatitis was masking another infection. After a few more months that cleared up but my liver was still not happy. I’m scheduled for more tests this week, but it’s been agreed that I can be discharged if my blood is no worse than usual.

I can now have affordable travel insurance. On the downside I now need a whole new excuse when I want a lie-in in the morning.

Blogging will remain light this week as I have two talks to write along with some PhD stuff and a couple of exams to prepare for the i-Sci students.
