It’s the Weekend and I have Frogs
Frog!
I’m pleased the pond is still home to frogs. We’re not doing too bad for wildlife. We used to have regular squirrels though recent loppings of nearby Leylandii have reduced their visits. Foxes still bark occasionally in the back at night.
In the pond we have frogs, over thirty in a tiny pond over the mating season, and at least one newt. Thanks to Reptiles and Amphibians of the UK I know the frogs are Common FrogsRana Temporaria and the Newt is a Smooth or Common NewtTriturus Vulgaris. Haven’t been able to photograph that yet though.
Frog! A different one, but you’ll have to take my word for that.
