Nazca lines (Hummingbird)

Myrddrr has put a variety of Nazca geoglyphs onto Flickr, including the astronaut – which seemed a bit of a step too far for me 🙂 .

I’m quite envious of Clive as he has a project scheduled to start sometime soon-ish. One of the weirdest things I think about these geoglyphs is the amazing press they get. They are impressive, but they’re not unique. While up in Ancash in the central Highlands of Peru I saw a couple more. It would seem there are lots of sacred sites with these things lying around tucked away in hidden valleys throughout the Andes.
