I 2007 erklærte presidenten av Ichkeria Dokka Umarov at han republikken gikk over til å bli kalt Noxçiyçö, Noas barn, som er det opprinnelige navnet for det tsjetsjenske folk, eller det nordøst-kaukasiske protofolket, vainakhene, som høyst sannsynlig hadde haplogruppe J, som er vanlig hos nordøst-kaukasere og semitter og som er nært forbundet med haplogruppe I.
