A big cheer for RSS. Laptuan Logic is intermittently updated, but when it is, it’s almost always worth a visit. The most recent post is yesterday’s China’s Own Vinland Map. The post tackles some of the evidence that Zheng He circumnavigated the globe without anyone noticing. Comes complete with large and colourful images.

Bibliodyssey is also a reliable source of fascinating and photogenic info. The recent post Remixing the Firmament draws attention to the new Uranographia images at Hubble source. I could include the link, but why not visit Bibliodyssey to see some of the other wonderful posts too?

While I was offline a story appeared on the BBC about the naming of Pluto, which Glaukôpis also spotted. She’s clearly someone with an eye for an opportunity as she notes that UB 313 is unnamed. Alas in the comments some spoilsport points out her favoured choice, Medea, would cause confusion.
