Sorry, but I have to be more unfriendly

I’ve now added Spam Karma to the comment moderation process. I’ve done this after getting hit twice over by automated trackbacks. Not all posts can receive trackbacks, but it’s enough to be a headache. It’s more of nuisance at the moment as I’ve left the log posting on automatic. I’ll be away for a couple of days looking for rats.

From your point of view there will hopefully be no change, but I can’t be certain. For instance if you do try and tell me about a new Iron Age poker that’s been discovered somewhere then your comment will be binned without me even seeing it. Regular commentators know my email address if there is a problem and anyone else could probably work it out as there’s only one person with a mailbox at archaeoastronomy.co.uk. Depending on how aggressive the default settings are it may mean that comments are held in moderation for a few days. However I’ll be happy to publish criticisms of me once I’m back. There should be someone who’ll want to. I’m looking at how black Tutankhamen is.
