Staying Quiet

I’m not expecting to post much till next Sunday. I’ve still got plenty of work to do. I’ll be down at AMPAH on Saturday and I’d prefer not to be feeling bad about not writing while someone else is talking.

As you can see on the right, the latest edition of Carnivalesque is written. Fewer Teeth, More Bite! will make a bit more sense when you read it. It was going to be called You get what you’re given. I was a bit frustrated as I didn’t have a lot of time to work on it this week. It’s not the lack of good posts that was the problem, it was the sheer number of things I could put in it. I’ve tried to make it reasonably coherent which has meant dropping some very good posts. For instance Early modern breast cancer: be thankful for modern medicine is an excellent post. However, I’ve taken a different post from Philobiblion instead because it pairs nicely with a suggestion that came in from another blog. If I thought I had the time I’d be tempted to offer a remixed version next weekend, but that won’t be happening.

Finally, thanks go to Tim Worstall for mentioning me in the BritBlog roundup. I’ve been keeping to myself so I hadn’t realised I’d been listed.
