The Late Meme

I’ve still not finished my work, so it’s the perfect time to catch up with a meme I was tagged with a year ago.

10 years ago: In 1996 I started my BA in Ancient History and Archaeology at Leicester. The plan was to cruise through the three years, pick up a degree and enter something in management. The thing that caused me to change my mind was digging in Luxembourg in the 1st year vacation.

5 years ago: In 2001 I was not taking trips to Clavius. I was probably doing various web jobs. Not a memorable year.

1 year ago: Aside from being tagged by Aydin ÖrstanI was playing with graphics.

I also know This Ain’t Your Country Any More by Mitch Benn and the Distractions, but I don’t know how to link that.

5 snacks:Kabanos, Peperami, Plain Chocolate HobNobs and two packs of Jaffa Cakes.

5 things I’d do with $100 million: You can’t spend dollars over here – I’d need it Pound Sterling, but I suspect there’d be all sorts of legal hassle in exchanging it. I’d probably email someone I trust, ask to deposit some of it in their bank account and allow them to keep 50% of it. It’d have to be fairly small amounts so I’d imagine I’d have to write a lot of emails starting “Dear trusted person, I have access to several million dollars in a bank account and need to move it out of the country…”

5 places I’d run away to:Luxembourg, Loch Ness, Lindisfarne, Llanfairpwll and Co. Londonderry (or Tyrone).

5 things I’d never wear: Necklaces, Rings, Bracelets, Watches or things involving piercing. I’m not really a fan of any sort of jewellery.

5 favorite TV shows:Due South, Coupling, The Day Today, Father Ted and Have I Got News For You.

5 greatest joys: Origami, A summer afteroon on a riverbank with a member of the opposite sex, the sensation of suddenly undertsanding something which had eluded me, a good book and hitting things with hammers.

5 favorite toys: Computer, bass guitar, camera, parachute and a hammer.
