Things Seen: Aardvarchaeology
Martin Rundkvist’s also a busy guy with blog entries inspired by his recent fieldwork online: Seven Brooches in Kaga, Queer Theory of Ancient Gods, Media Frenzy, 900 Years Ain’t Old Enough and Hoary Oaks on Heathen Barrow. I think he captures some of the excitement of being out in the field.
Additionally there’s photos of the Älvestad Church Fire Aftermath.
I’d also like to find time to comment on his Weary Po-Mo Platitudes. Some of the comments there are wickedly funny. Briefly, saying that there’s a necessary scheme to interpret an archaeological site doesn’t sound very postmodern to me.
