Experts are using crowdsourced images and 3D printing technology in an ambitious project to recreate ancient artifacts destroyed by the Islamic State in the Iraqi city of Mosul. Iranian artist Morehshin Allahyari is committed to 3D printing thousands-year-old sculptures that were destroyed in Mosul in February by Daech jihadists.
