On Tuesday, I gave my annual fonts lecture and I was able to use as an example the almost complete typeset of The Digital Press’s reprint of Clell Gannon’s Songs of the Bunch Grass Acres (1924). This book is being published in collaboration with North Dakota Quarterly.

Check out this possible cover draft:

The book has been very fun to typeset. I’m particularly proud of maintaining some of the 1920s campiness in the current edition without making the book seem unnecessarily amateurish.
