The recently-liberated ancient city of Palmyra hosted a triumphal concert conducted by the renowned St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky orchestra. The ceremonial concert was led by the celebrated conductor Valery Gergiev. The concert was titled With a Prayer from Palmyra: Music Revives the Ancient Walls.
