Updates may be patchy

Work on the house has finally started, a week late. One of the effects of this is that my computer is packed away and I’m using other machines which don’t usually have a net connection. Various things are likely for the forseeable future.

Email to my home account will be difficult to access to replies may not happen for a while.

The database for blog entries will work through a backlog. What I’ll be doing is loading batches of entries into it at a time. That means if an amazing new discovery is found I probably will have nothing to say about it. It will also mean that there’ll be clumps of entries on the same subject, because I’m likely to be in the same mood in the evenings when I’m typing entries in.

It will also mean that moderated comments on the older entries may well take a long while to appear. As you can see from the Spam Karma count this site is hit by a lot of poker spam so moderation is necessary. If you disagree with me and your comment takes a long time to appear then it’s not that I’m ignoring you it’s simply that I haven’t had the time to check the moderation box. If an entry has been posted or had a comment on it in the past week, then it should remain open for comments.
